My older more detailed paintings were impressive but I was unsatisfied with how they looked as a whole. When I started focusing less on copying a photograph is when I started to create my own visual language.

📸 Exposure Triangle? Day 1/30 DOPT In this video, I go over the exposure triangle and show some example images that result from drastically different aperture, shutter speed, and ISO combinations. This is the first video in a 30-video series where I break down photography terms into easily understood definitions. Make sure to follow along to not miss the next one and don’t forget to go back and catch the ones you might have missed! Hopefully by day 30, you learn a thing or two 🤝 🎥 Link to all

I am so pleased to say I have photos in the National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh! ❤️❤️ I was given the opportunity to collaborate with another photographer called Flannery, they/them is an incredible photographer who captures portraits and has done multiple projects. 💛 Flannery was given the chance to take portraits of some of the dancers at the dance group Indepen-dance. ❤️

Photographer Brooke DiDonato creates surreal, carefully staged photographs that transform ordinary spaces, familiar objects and the human body into impossible scenes. Her work frequently explores identity, perception and the strange relationship between people and their surroundings. In these images, the human figure becomes almost anonymous. A woman stands beneath a collection of suspended wigs, while another figure appears in a suit with a framed childhood portrait replacing its head. #art #ar
